Polymarble is essentially a moulded plastic. It can look great and minor scratches can (apparently) be sanded away.
However, there is one major disadvantage with polymarble:
- maximum water heat 60 degrees Celsius
Water temperates over 60 degrees Celsius can cause the plastic to blister. If your hot water system has a temperature control setting, this limitation shouldn’t be a problem. There are also cut-out systems that can be fitted to taps to prevent overly hot water from flowing.
