Land surveyors map the topography of a site. They check the accuracy of lot boundaries and locate the correct position of the proposed building within the lot.
They provide initial marker points for the building position that enable the builder to mark out the complete boundaries of the structure (known as ‘setting out’). In some cases, the land surveyor will also provide the setting out service.
